# There is no runway and no investor to explain a bad quarter to. Every hour and every dollar has to come back.

> Hellofew for bootstrapped founders. No runway to burn and no hours to waste. Agents find your buyers on LinkedIn, write to each one from their profile and send from your account. You approve each one.

Bootstrapping means the arithmetic is always visible. You know your MRR to the dollar, your costs to the cent, and exactly how many months you can keep going. A sales tool at a few hundred a month is not a line item, it is a decision about whether to keep paying yourself.

Growth has to come from somewhere, and paid acquisition does not pay back at your price point. Outbound on LinkedIn does, when you do it — but you only do it when there is time, and there is never time. The tools that would help are priced for funded teams and built to burn through an account you cannot afford to lose.

Hellofew costs $49/month and runs the outbound you keep meaning to do. You paste your product page; agents find the right people, read each profile and write one message per person. You approve the queue in a few minutes each morning, it sends from your account at a deliberately low rate, follows up once, and stops when someone answers. No contract, and cancelling stops the queue the same day.

## What actually goes wrong

### Sales tools are priced for companies with a sales budget

You look at the pricing page, see a starting price that is a meaningful fraction of your MRR, and close the tab. Then you go back to doing it by hand, which means not doing it.

**What happens instead:** It is $49/month, one plan, no seats, no contract. A year is $588, and you know what one customer is worth to you. If a month of it only teaches you that your positioning is unclear, you learned that for the price of a month.

### Your time is the scarcest thing you have, and outbound eats it

An hour a day finding and writing to people is five hours a week not spent on the product that keeps the current customers paying. So you trade next quarter's pipeline for this week's features, every week.

**What happens instead:** The agents do the searching, reading, writing and scheduling. Your part is approving a queue of up to 25 people a morning, each with the reason they were picked and the draft already written.

### You cannot afford to be the founder who spammed their market

Your niche is small. The people you want to sell to know each other, and a clumsy mass message gets screenshotted into a group chat. That reputation does not recover, and there is no marketing budget to paper over it.

**What happens instead:** Each note is written from that person's own profile and posts, and a draft too close to a recent one is thrown away and rewritten. One follow-up, never five. Anyone who asks not to be contacted is added to a permanent do-not-contact list that is never deleted.

### You need to know whether it is paying for itself

Dashboards full of invitations sent and profiles viewed tell you nothing about whether the money is coming back. You need one number, and you need it to be honest.

**What happens instead:** The number that matters is replies, and the Monday digest leads with it. When a week is quiet, it says why — still warming up, queue not approved, acceptance falling — so you are never paying for a tool that silently stopped working.

## What your morning looks like instead

One card per person: who they are, what the message was written from, and the
message itself. Approve, skip, or edit. Nothing goes out that you have not read.

![An approval card: Tom Reyes, Managing Director at a 15-person accountancy practice. Written from: His post: "January is the month we turn clients away because we can't keep up with the admin.". Draft: "Tom — turning clients away in January because of the admin is a painful way to lose revenue. I built a small tool for practices your size that handles the intake chasing. Bootstrapped, so no sales team — just me. Useful?" With Approve, Skip and Edit buttons. An invented person.](https://hellofew.com/solutions/bootstrapped-founders/images/queue.png)

*An illustration. The person is invented.*

Typical titles the agents would look for: Owner, Managing Director, Operations Manager, Head of Marketing, Office Manager, General Manager. Yours are
written from your own page, and you edit them.

## Your first month

1. Paste your product page and read the ICP it writes before paying anything. Five to eight job titles, three angles and a sample note. If it gets your market wrong, that cost you nothing.
2. Subscribe at $49/month — one plan, no contract — and connect LinkedIn. About a minute later your first queue: up to 25 people, each with a note written for them.
3. Approve three and it starts, at 5 invitations a day, rising over three weeks towards 20. Weekdays only, never at the edges of your working day.
4. Replies land in one inbox and stop everything queued for that person. The Monday digest tells you how many people replied, which is the only number worth paying for.

## Who this is wrong for

If your product sells for less than a month of this, LinkedIn outbound probably does not pay back and you should not buy it. If your customers are consumers or tiny businesses that are not on LinkedIn, the channel is wrong. And if you need email sequences too, this is LinkedIn only.

## Questions

**Is there a free trial?**

Reading your product page and writing the ICP is free and needs no card. Subscribing is what connects LinkedIn and starts finding real people, because that is the first part that costs real money to run.

**Can I pause it in a slow month?**

Nothing sends that you have not approved, so an unapproved queue waits. You can also cancel at any time; the queue stops the same day and there is no contract.

**How many customers should I expect?**

I will not quote you a number. Replies depend on your offer and your market, not on this software. What is fixed is the ceiling: 20 invitations a day at most, after a three-week ramp.
