# Why Hellofew exists, and where it stands with LinkedIn

I wanted my own outbound handled, and every tool I tried was built to spend the account.

I'm Adarsh Mamgain. I had a product, a LinkedIn account and no time. Finding the right people, reading each profile, writing something worth reading and remembering to follow up was an hour a day, and it was the first hour to go when the week got busy.

The tools that promised to fix that sell volume: hundreds of invitations a week, rented accounts, unlimited senders. The account they spend is yours. So I built this one the other way round: 20 invitations a day at most, starting at 5, each message written from that person's own profile, and nothing sent under your name that you have not read.

## What it refuses to do

- **Fake or rented LinkedIn accounts: never.** It only ever acts inside the one account you connect yourself.
- **Scraping LinkedIn into a database to sell: never.** There is no data product. People are found for you, one morning at a time, and only for you.
- **Holding your password, 2FA codes or session cookies: never.** You sign in on LinkedIn's own page; we keep an opaque account id.
- **Sending anything you have not approved: never.** Every message waits in your queue for a yes, for ever.
- **Raising the limits, for anyone: never.** They are constants in the source. I cannot raise them for a customer, or for myself.
- **Promising your account cannot be restricted: never.** Nobody honest can. What we can do is make it much less likely, and show our working.

## Where it stands with LinkedIn

LinkedIn's User Agreement does not allow automated tools, and LinkedIn can restrict or close an account it believes is automated. That is true of every product in this category, funded or not; the honest ones say so, and our terms say it in their first section.

What this product does about it: it acts only inside your own account, from a session you start on LinkedIn's sign-in page, only for messages you approved, at a pace set three to five times below what the category calls safe. It watches your accept rate the way LinkedIn does, halves your caps below 15% and stops inviting below 8%, and it will not send at all from an account with fewer than 150 connections, because a near-empty profile sending invitations is the pattern LinkedIn restricts most.

The risk to your account is real and it is yours. The point of this product is to make it as small as a tool of this kind can, in public, so you can check it.

The full terms, including this, are at /legal/terms. Every limit, with sources, is at /limits.

## The people you write to

The people you write to never signed up for anything, so they get the most care: their records are kept only while they are an active lead, LinkedIn data we fetch is deleted after 30 days, and anyone who asks to be left alone goes on a do-not-contact list that is kept for good, so they never hear from you again.

- Prospect records (name, headline, employer, public profile): While the lead is active, then 12 months
- Provider payloads fetched from LinkedIn: 30 days
- Activity ledger (what was sent, when, to whom): 24 months
- Suppression list (do-not-contact): Indefinitely, by design

Hosting is in Germany. Every sub-processor and what it sees is listed at /legal/subprocessors. We never store: your LinkedIn password, your LinkedIn two-factor codes, your LinkedIn session cookies, your card number or bank details.
